National Aquarium Abu Dhabi

The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is the largest aquarium in the Middle East and is home to 46,000 animals spread across 10 zones. The aquarium houses more than 200 sharks and rays, representing 25 different species. Across 10 zones spanning from the tropical waters of the Pacific and freshwaters of the Amazon through to the frozen ice caps of the Arctic and the caves of the Mediterranean. All of the animals are cared for by a team of 80 sea-life experts.

Education is at the core of The National Aquarium, with an entire department dedicated to learning and enhancing environment knowledge and the capacity to welcome up to 50,000 students a year.

Located along with Rabdan Area, the historic natural waterway bordering the mainland, The National Aquarium is one of the 11 Anchors situated in Al Qana; which is set to be one of Abu Dhabi’s most unique and iconic destinations. Easily accessible from Abu Dhabi island and adjacent to the neighboring five-star hotels, the development is in a prime location for both residents and tourists. With no high-rise buildings and towers in the immediate vicinity, Al Qana offers a breath of fresh air with uninterrupted spectacular views across the waters to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the nearby Memorial Park.
