The Banff Gondola carries you almost 700 metres above the forest canopy to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, with wide views over the rugged landscape of Canada's first national park. The ride takes about eight minutes each way, and every ticket includes the return journey.

At the top you can explore the summit at your own pace. Interactive and educational displays introduce the natural wonders of the area, and the Above Banff Theatre offers a multi-sensory flight experience. Step out onto the rooftop observation deck to take in the scenery, then head out to hike on the summit of Sulphur Mountain. A range of food and drink options is available at the top, with meals and beverages paid for separately.

If you would rather come down on foot, a 5.5 km trail leads from the upper terminal to the lower terminal and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Otherwise, simply ride back down to the base at 100 Mountain Ave in Banff.
