Visit Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, Australia's first zoo to breed crocodiles in captivity! Located in the beautiful Cairns region, Hartley’s is one of the oldest and most popular tourist attractions in the area. It began in 1934 as a small tea house for tired travelers making their way along the newly opened road between Cairns and Mossman.
Since then, Hartley’s has grown and changed, offering visitors exciting and educational wildlife experiences. Today, it is known for its safe and close-up encounters with many animals, including crocodiles, snakes, koalas, and kangaroos. The zoo is famous for its crocodile breeding program, where they protect and raise crocodiles in a natural environment.
Visitors can take part in feeding and crocodile-watching shows, where they see these powerful animals up close. Hartley’s also offers boat tours through its wildlife park, where you can spot crocodiles in their natural habitat. With its unique wildlife experiences, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is a must-visit destination for anyone wanting to learn more about Australia’s amazing animals.

Hartleys Crocodile Adventures is perfect for all ages. We loved seeing the crocs up close on the boat ride, and the koalas and other animals were a real treat. Plenty of space to explore at your own pace, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. A fun, relaxed day for the whole family!

A really fun day out! The boat ride was enjoyable and there’s plenty to see, so you can easily spend a few hours here. The main cafe was a bit busy, but the extra food truck with curly fries was a hit with the kids. Very informative and entertaining, though a few areas could be a bit smoother. Overall, a solid 4-star experience.

We did the Koala Breakfast at Hartley’s and honestly, it was one of the best parts of our trip. Everything was well organised, the staff were great, and the food hit the spot. Being that close to a koala was something special, totally worth it.

We booked our tickets for Hartley’s Crocodile Park through JTR Holidays just a day before our visit. As soon as we completed the payment on their website, their team reached out to us within 5 minutes via WhatsApp and sent our tickets both on WhatsApp and email. Super quick response and smooth process! Excellent customer service, definitely a 10/10 experience.

I’ve been to a few crocodile parks before, but this one really stood out for me. The boat ride around the lagoon was an awesome way to start seeing the crocodiles in their natural habitat while the guide shared interesting facts made it both fun and educational. After that, we explored the rest of the park at our own pace. There was plenty of space to move around comfortably, no crowds or rush, and we got to enjoy every part of it. The staff were super friendly and happy to answer all our questions, which made the whole experience even better.
