Spanning over 700 acres of the Rouge Valley, the Toronto Zoo is Canada's premier zoological institution, offering year-round experiences that connect visitors with the natural world. Guests can observe and study a diverse population of over 3,000 animals while walking through distinct bioclimatic regions that replicate habitats from the African Savanna to the Arctic Tundra. In the indoor pavilions and on the elevated boardwalks, visitors can learn how the Zoo integrates conservation science and Indigenous traditional knowledge, both of which are vital to its mission of combating species extinction on a global scale.
