Rock-A-Hula is a lively evening of Hawaiian music and dance at the Royal Hawaiian Theater in the heart of Waikiki, a short walk from major Waikiki hotels, so there is no long bus ride to reach the show. Performed by Waikiki's largest cast, the show takes you on a journey through Hawaii's musical evolution from the 1920s to today and includes a thrilling fire knife dance. After the curtain falls, you can meet the performers at the post-show Meet and Greet. Choose the show on its own, or pair it with a luau dinner. Luau packages begin at a charming thatched-roof Hawaiian Pavilion with warm aloha hospitality, an upscale luau buffet featuring a whole roasted pig and prime roast beef, island music from a live ukulele player, a simple hula lesson and a brief hula show. The VIP and Green Room packages add extras such as a fresh orchid lei, premium drinks and preferred seating, and the Green Room package also includes a backstage tour with pupus (appetizers). With dinner, the whole experience lasts around four hours.
