Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an art and civilization museum, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The museum was inaugurated on 8 November 2017 by French President Emmanuel Macron and United Arab Emirates Vice President Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi is the first universal museum in the Arab World that translates the spirit of openness of cultures. As one of the premier cultural institutions located in the heart of the Saadiyat Cultural District, the art-lovers dream displays the works of historical, cultural and sociological significance from ancient times to the contemporary era. Designed by Pritzker-prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel, the Louvre Abu Dhabi encompasses 9,200 sq. m of galleries including the Permanent Gallery and a Temporary Gallery that is enriched by loans from many notable French museums including Musee du Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, and Centre Pompidou.

    Extended hours: 10 am - 8.30 pm (Fri - Sun)

  • Ramadan 2024 Hours  10 AM to 6:30 PM (Tuesday to Thursday) and 10 AM to 8:30 PM (Friday to Sunday)

How to Get There: 

  • By Car
    From Abu Dhabi - City: From the Corniche/Mina Port
    From Dubai on E11 or Yas Island
    Take the Saadiyat Island / Yas Island exit on to Sheikh Khalifa Highway E12 and drive along Yas Highway to the Cultural District / Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island. Follow road signs from the highway to Louvre Abu Dhabi.

  • By Bus
    Public bus route 94, stops at Louvre Abu Dhabi (Saadiyat Island)

  • By Taxi
    A drop-off / pick-up point is situated just in front of the main entrance at the visitor car park.

  • Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be canceled under any circumstances.
  • Tickets must be used as per the booking date and time.
