A Proper London Day

This felt like one of those days where you come back to the hotel completely tired but very happy. We saw the Changing of the Guard, walked around the Tower of London, went on the river and finished on the London Eye. My daughter loved the Eye and I could have spent hours at the Tower. There was also some free time for us to grab lunch, which was useful.

Much Better With A Tour Guide

We originally planned to use the Tube and visit these places ourselves, but I'm glad we changed our plans. Having the tour guide explain what we were looking at as we went through London made a difference. The Tower was fascinating, and the boat ride was a nice chance to sit down for a while. The Eye was very busy, but the views were worth it.

The Tower Was Amazing

The Tower of London was much more interesting than I expected. Seeing the Crown Jewels was obviously a highlight, but I enjoyed walking around the old fortress and hearing about its history even more. The day moves at a fairly quick pace, so wear comfortable shoes. The Thames cruise gave us a good chance to rest before the Eye.
