So much to see

The museum has an amazing collection, and there's far more to see than you can fit into one visit. I spent most of my time exploring the Asian galleries, especially the exhibits on India, China, and Japan, which were fascinating. The covered courtyard is also stunning and worth taking a moment to admire. If you're planning a visit, it's a good idea to decide which sections you want to see first.

Worth Booking for First-Time Visitors

We were so happy we booked the guided tour instead of going on our own. The fast-track entry saved us time, and our guide made the museum so much more interesting with stories you probably wouldn't get just by reading the signs. Seeing the Rosetta Stone and the mummies up close was amazing. The headset made it easy to hear even when it got busy. I'd definitely recommend this if it's your first time visiting the British Museum.
